terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Vieni app and this website. Vieni is provided for parents and carers of children under 5 in participating London boroughs. Last updated: 16 June 2026.

1. acceptance

By creating an account or using Vieni, you agree to these terms and to our community guidelines and privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Vieni.

2. who can use Vieni

You must be 18 or over and a parent or carer of a child under 5 to use Vieni. Vieni is intended for adults. It is not a service for children, and children should not use it directly.

3. invite-only access

Vieni is currently an invite-only beta, available in selected London boroughs and rolled out gradually. Access is at our discretion. Because this is a beta, features may change, break or be withdrawn, and the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

4. your account

You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your login secure. Do not share your account or let anyone else use it. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

5. acceptable use

You agree to follow our community guidelines at all times. In short, be kind, keep it about the children and the community, do not spam or sell, never share another child's details or photos without consent, and do not harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone. You also agree not to misuse the service, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access it in unauthorised ways.

6. activity listings are third-party information

Activities shown in Vieni are run by third parties, such as libraries, children's centres, community groups and independent organisers. We gather this information from public sources and aim to keep it accurate, but we do not run these activities and cannot guarantee that details are current. Times, prices, locations and availability can change or be cancelled without notice.

Please verify the details directly with the organiser before attending. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vieni is not responsible or liable for third-party activities, including their content, safety, suitability, cancellation, or anything that happens at them.

7. user content and group chats

You are responsible for what you post, send or share on Vieni, including in event group chats. Do not post anything unlawful, harmful, or in breach of our community guidelines, and do not post another person's or child's personal information or images without consent. By posting content, you grant us a limited licence to host and display it within the service so that Vieni can function. We may remove content that breaches these terms.

8. moderation, suspension and termination

To keep Vieni safe, we may review reported content, issue warnings, temporarily suspend accounts, or remove accounts that breach these terms or our community guidelines. Serious breaches, especially anything that puts a child at risk, may lead to immediate removal and, where appropriate, a report to the relevant authorities. You can stop using Vieni and delete your account at any time from within the app.

9. limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Vieni is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from third-party activities or content, or from your reliance on information in the app that you have not verified. Vieni is a beta service provided without warranties of any kind.

10. changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Vieni after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
